Many travel credit cards offer a Priority Pass Select membership, but not all memberships are created equal. Some provide full access to clubs, lounges, rest areas and restaurant credits, while AMEX and Capital One limit members to lounge access only.
We use the Priority Pass membership from Sharon’s Citi Prestige as it allows entry for the cardholder, two additional guests AND their immediate family (spouse, domestic partner and children under 18). While it’s usually just the two of us, I like being able to bring two additional guests with us (in case we’re traveling with friends).
But what happens when I want to visit a lounge and Sharon doesn’t?
As it turns out, I found out when we visited Vietnam. We were traveling with a tour group and had an hour to spend at Hanoi Airport. Sharon was happy to walk around the terminal but I wanted to check out the lounge. I wasn’t planning on this and only brought Sharon’s Priority Pass card with us. I tried to log into the Priority Pass app but my account was linked to my AMEX Platinum card that I canceled several years ago.
I decided to risk it and checked in with Sharon’s card. While the agent gave me a look, she let me into the lounge with a guest.
I tried to update the app with my new AMEX card but there’s nowhere to edit information. If you get a new Priority Pass card, you must create a new account (with a different login and password.)
Here’s how to create a digital membership card using the Priority Pass App.
When selecting a user name, I suggest adding something that indicates which card the Priority Pass Select membership is linked to.
Start at the Account page and tap Log In.
Activate Your Account
Enter the Membership Number or Last 4 Digits of the Payment Card
Confirm Personal Information
Create a (Strong) Password & Security Question
That’s It; You’re Done
Once I set up my account, I received an email from Priority Pass.
Great news! You now have access to the Priority Pass app and My Account area, which allows you to:
Access the Digital Membership Card – providing digital access to our 1300+ lounges
Review and update your personal details online
View your personal lounge visit history
Rate the lounges that you’ve visited
Provide you up to date information on new travel experiences joining the programme
Plus many more features.
I always bring a physical Priority Pass card but if you’re traveling with a group, having 2 cards allows you to get more guests into a club. While I might not put two cards in my wallet, I’ll always have a backup on my phone. You can also save the digital card to your Apple Wallet, making it easier to use instead of opening up the app and going to the membership page each time.

I’m just commenting to say I appreciate the first-world awareness of this post.
I am reading this at a bar so maybe I’m just not seeing it but to be clear, you can’t save multiple cards in the same account on the app, can you? For example I have PP through the Amex Plat, Cap One X, CSR, and Citi Prestige.
You can only be logged into the app with one account at a time. I’m not sure if you’re able to store more than 1 digital card in an Apple Wallet.
