How To Get FREE SiriusXM Through Mid-May

by SharonKurheg

Joe and I have had SiriusXM since, well, since the time that Sirius was one company and XM was another (and we had one subscription for each, which made learning channel numbers impossible.) So we don’t pay a whole lot of attention to announcements of when SiriusXM is free cuz we already pay for it ;-).

So my apologies for being late to the party, but if you hadn’t heard either, SiriusXM is streaming its Premier Streaming plan (that one includes Howard Stern), for free, through May 15.

Excerpts from their March 31 blog post:

While SiriusXM Select and All Access subscribers already have access to this wealth of content included with their subscriptions, now anyone who is not already a subscriber can download the SiriusXM app or click below to start listening free of charge, with no credit card or commitment required.

Listeners will have free access to more than 300 channels of programming, featuring the acclaimed Howard Stern Show, hundreds of exclusive ad-free music channels, and vital news and information sources. SiriusXM is also adding entirely new curated content and bringing back some beloved music channels by top artists.

The SiriusXM app also offers additional features such as SiriusXM video, personalized stations powered by Pandora that listeners can curate themselves, and an On Demand library with over 10,000 hours of archived shows, exclusive music performances, interviews, and audio documentaries.

“With so many people asked to stay at home, we are making our full streaming lineup of music, entertainment, news and information easily accessible to everyone,” said Jim Meyer, SiriusXM CEO. “In the days ahead, we hope it’s a valuable source of information or diversion, a generous mix of fresh live content, and a source of companionship that comes from the hosts on our many shows and channels.”

You can access the app on mobile phones, tablets and computers, as well as a bunch of connected devices in the home – smart TVs, devices with Amazon Alexa or the Google Assistant, Apple TV, PlayStation, Roku, Sonos speakers, etc.

Streaming is simple:

  1. Make an account and set up your login information
  2. Add SiriusXM to your device of choice
  3. Start listening for free

SiriusXM has a WIDE variety of genres of music and talk, without commercials. And hey, it’s free! 🙂
