United’s Being A Bully Again, Allegiant Fined Again, Sweet Universal Orlando Ticket Deal Again, & More!

Happy Sunday to all of our travel friends, near and far! Here are some articles we’ve read from other bloggers (and other sources) that we think you may like, as well, so we’re passing them along.

  • Ric from Loyalty Traveler just visited two of The Club lounges in San Jose and Atlanta. It’s important to read about each lounge before visiting because I’ve found large differences in the quality of these lounges. The Club lounges in Orlando are both nice but the one we visited in Las Vegas was depressing.
  • Universal Orlando Resort is offering a sweet deal to select Florida residents, with 3 months free on newly purchased or renewed 2- or 3- park Seasonal and Power passes, and 6 months free on newly purchased renewed 2- or 3-park Preferred and Premiere passes. For renewals, passes must expire between Oct. 4, 1018 and April 4, 2019. I called and asked about us poor shlubs whose passes expire after April 4, 2019 and it’s pretty much, “Too bad, so sad.”
  • Road Warriorette shares her favorite apps to use when traveling for business. I found several of the same apps I like to use when traveling but while I always load my Netflix before leaving the house, I’ve never mentioned it in one of my lists of essential travel apps. That’s something I’ll fix in the future.
  • Doctor of Credit posted about the current Starbucks Bingo promotion. I love reading the comments of posts like this because people are always trying to find a way to hack the requirements to complete the tasks with the least possible spend.
  • And lastly, I share a post from Lucky at One Mile at a Time. After a really bad experience, have you ever received an automated email wanting you to rate “How’d We Do?” I’ve received a few and thought “Oh, you just sent this email to the WRONG PERSON! Here’s what I really think about you!” Lucky just received one of those emails after a terrible experience on American Airlines. In all, I think he was really fair with his comments. Working in customer service, I can confirm that if all you do is complain, then your comments will most likely be ignored. If you’re fair and honest, there’s a chance your comments will get through.
