As I mentioned in a post a while back, Buc-ee’s is a chain of roadside gas and convenience stores located in Texas (soon to be expanding into Florida!) and I just LOVE them! So during our pretty-much-almost-annual visit to New Braunfels to go to Schlitterbahn Water Park & Resort nearly every summer, I make sure we visit Buc-ee’s at least twice (occasionally more).

If you spend a lot of money each month filling your car with gas, it makes sense to maximize your return on those expenses. Many credit cards offer bonuses on gas purchases. It’s a smart business choice because using a card for gas means that card will always be in your wallet or purse and you’re more likely to use that card for other purchases besides when you go to fill up the tank.
Which card is the BEST? It depends on what type of reward you want to earn (cash or points), if you want to pay an annual fee and if you want an all-around card or a card that’s just for gas purchases. This is one of the instances where Your Mileage May Vary. Here are some of the cards available, with above average return on gas purchases.

I’m sitting at my desk on New Year’s Eve and looking back on what happened in 2017. One of the biggest events in our house was starting this website. It’s been a wild ride and I still remember when we were trying to decide on a name for the site. I’ll gladly admit that Your Mileage May Vary was Sharon’s idea (Note from Sharon: Mmmm hmmm!) but I was the one who convinced her it was a good name. Here we are now, 430 posts later. Thanks for joining us for the ride. Continue reading “Ten Things In 2017 On Which We Can Look Back”
Buc-ee’s is a chain of roadside gas and convenience stores located in Texas and I just LOVE them! So I am THRILLED it was announced the other day that they are planning to open their first location outside of Texas, in Daytona, Florida! You guys, that’s only, like, an hour and a half from here! SQUEEEEE!!!
To be honest, neither Joe nor I are even sure how we originally discovered Buc-ee’s. We’ve been visiting Schlitterbahn Water Parks & Resort in New Braunfels TX nearly every year for a good decade or more and when the Buc-ee’s opened Continue reading “Buc-ees Is Coming To Florida, I Am Thrilled To No End & Here’s Why You Should Be, Too!”
