Happy Sunday to all of our travel friends, both near and far! Here are some articles we’ve read from other bloggers (and other sources) that we think you may like, as well, so we’re passing them along.
I’ve got to be honest. The Daily Getaways promotion is one that I’m always interested in. It’s a great chance to pick up some great travel deals that you won’t see anywhere else. For 10 years, the U.S. Travel Association has been running this fundraiser that features daily deals from many of the major travel companies.
This year, for the 10th Anniversary, the Daily Getaways deals are returning with over 20 top companies signing on. New deals will be released at 1PM EST on every weekday from May 6th to June 4th but there are also going to be a few added things during this year’s promotion. The biggest addition is that for each deal purchased, customers can opt-in to receive an entry to win a $10,000 custom trip to a U.S. destination of their choice. As we always say with sweepstakes, you gotta be in it to win it.
Many blogs cover the Daily Getaways in depth and try to determine if the offer that day is a good deal or not. We’re of the opinion that it’s up to each individual to determine if a deal is good or not because these offers are the ultimate Your Mileage May Vary situation. I’ve purchased things from Daily Getaways the last couple of years but each of those purchases was for a specific situation.
Starting today, you can preview the offers that will be on sale for the first three weeks of the promotion at http://www.dailygetaways.com/
One more chance for the opportunity to fly to Hawaii for $6!
Arby’s (“America’s Roast Beef. Yes, Sir!” Anyone? Anyone?) Restaurants offered this absolutely CRAZY sale on flights to Hawaii this past Friday, for just $6 apiece. And they’re doing it again today. Here are the details, as well as a few important details:
I had to double check to see if it was a late April Fool’s joke but nope, it’s not.
Apparently Arby’s (yes, THAT Arby’s – the 3,300-restaurant strong sandwich chain that’s been around since 1964) is bringing back sandwiches served on King’s Hawaiian buns. And to promote that, it’s offering trips to Hawaii for just $6 (because that’s the cost of the sandwich). But there’s a catch or two:
Happy Sunday (and happy New Year!) to all of our travel friends, both near and far! Here are some articles we’ve read from other bloggers (and other sources) that we think you may like, as well, so we’re passing them along.
