If you’re traveling from one city to another in Japan, the Shinkansen bullet train is the way to go. Fast, clean, easy and efficient, it’ll get you from Kyoto to Yokohama, Tokyo to Sapporo, Nara to Hiroshima, and just about anywhere else.
The operator of the Shinkansen, JR (Japan Railways) occasionally adds a little bit of fun to its bullet trains by giving them an overlay of popular Japanese animated series. In past years there have been Shinkansens adorned with Evangelion and Hello Kitty…
…but the next bullet train will be decorated in homage to the beloved Mickey Mouse…

We’ve seen a few theme parks around the world that rip off Disney parks. There’s the one in Japan that we visited in 2005 (OMG, the videos!!!). It closed in 2006, but this one in Beijing, China is still up and running and still with Disney knockoffs galore. But we had never seen a theme park that had blatant copies of Harry Potter stuff.

Riding on the happy news that SeaWorld’s latest quarterly earnings showed that attendance, annual pass sales, revenue and in-park spending all increased, Aquatica Orlando, part of the SeaWorld family of theme parks, recently announced the upcoming debut of Fiesta Aquatica, which will be a new Latin-inspired celebration at the famed water park.

If you’re a fan of the Harry Potter series, have we found a bed & breakfast for you!
The Georgian House Hotel is a family run boutique B&B in Central London, near Victoria Station. Originally built in 1851, and handed down from generation to generation (the original builder/owner’s great-great-granddaughter has been the current owner since 1987), it currently boasts 63 bedrooms and apartments and has a 5-star rating.
Most rooms, although beautifully and tastefully done in Victorian Classic or Belgravia Boutique styles, are pretty typical of what you’d expect to find in an modernly redecorated building that’s looking forward to its 170th birthday pretty soon.
But they have a few rooms that are specially decorated to enchant Harry Potter fans.
