Say you have a long layover and want to explore the city (or maybe the airport!) a little without dragging your luggage everywhere. Or maybe you’ve just left your B&B but still plan to stay in town that day and want a place to leave all your bags. Or what if you took the train to a concert venue and discover they don’t allow your knapsack? What do you do?
A while back we posted about a company you can use while traveling so you can safely store your luggage for a few hours. It sounded like a great idea, except for the fact that it was only limited to 3 cities around the world.
Luggage Hero has since expanded to 6 cities (still NYC, London, and Copenhagen but now also Madrid, Lisbon and Barcelona), but we’ve found another company that gives you a place to store your stuff for the day that has availability virtually all over the world.
Walt Disney World is a place where some people go on a once-in-a-lifetime trip, whereas others visit once every few years. You might go on an annual trip and other people could potentially visit multiple times a year. Depending on the length of the trip, where you’re staying or what you want to bring with you, the more often you go, the more stuff you might wish you could just leave in Orlando, instead of bringing it back and forth. I’m talking holiday decorations for your room, bug spray and suntan lotion, the leftovers from that case of bottled water you ordered from Amazon Now, storable liquids like shampoo, a crock pot so you can make your own dinner here and there. Maybe even larger stuff, like your golf clubs.
Welp, it turns out there’s a locker storage rental place just a hop, a skip and a jump from WDW that allows you to store stuff all year long for a pretty reasonable rate. We learned more about it…
Have you ever had an extended layover where you have the opportunity to go visit a city for a few hours? We did, when we purposely planned a several-hour stopover in Dublin so we could have lunch at one of our favorite restaurants in the world. We lucked out in that were were lockers available at Dublin Airport but sometimes there aren’t. Or maybe you’ve checked out of your Airbnb and there aren’t any places to store your stuff for a few hours before you’re ready to go on your way.
As they say, necessity is the mother of all invention, and an entrepreneur named Jannik Lawaetz has developed a system for you to safely leave your luggage for a few hours, paying by the hour.
