Happy Wednesday to all of our travel friends, both near and far! Here are some articles we’ve read from other bloggers (and other sources) that we think you may like, as well, so we’re passing them along.
Joe posted a link from View From The Wing over the summer, where Gary reported that Stroopwafels were being pulled from snack carts on United flights in favor of new maple flavored cookies. I lamented the loss about a week and a half later (over a rather large glass of Pinot Noir), since by that point it was about the only thing we still liked about United.
So imagine how I felt when I saw this on my Twitter feed the other day:
I think most of you will agree that the snack cart is one of THE most important parts of the flight. So after Joe posted the story about Stroopwafels being replaced on United over the weekend, I was a little bummed, because those were my one of my most favorite airline cookie in the world. So I decided to do some investigating to see what the deal was.
Hi y’all! Welp, we couldn’t post our weekly recap last week because….Hurricane Irma. So this week’s recap will cover everything from this past week (which isn’t much because, say it with me…Hurricane Irma) AND the week before, as well.

Once final time, THANK-YOU SO MUCH for your patience as we prepped for, went through, and dealt with the aftermath of Hurricane Irma. Starting this Monday, we should be back to a normal “usually 2 a day” posting schedule.
