Some people are limited in when they can go on vacation. They may be in a profession where they’re not allowed to go away during specific times of the year (such as accountants during the weeks leading up to Tax Day), or they might have kids who can only go out of town when school isn’t in session.
If you’re lucky enough in that you don’t have those kinds of limitations on when you can go away, you may still want to go at the “best” time.
Let’s say you want to go to WDW…when IS the best time of year to go? Well, that’s kind of a loaded question because it really depends on what you consider to be “best”…is that based on the weather? The crowds? The holidays and special events? The cheapest time of year? Hmmm…let’s look at all of the options…

Lots of airports are a whole lot of fun during the Christmas season. Sure, some offer local entertainment, but others go a whole lot further. Munich Airport, for example, opens a seasonal Christmas Market, complete with 2 ice rinks and nearly 500 real trees. Jetblue has an awesome contest that they’ve recently started – so good that I’m sharing it here, along with our weekly Contests & Sweepstakes post. Here’s how they describe their Go Get Gifted contest:

The Transportation Security Administration (TSA) has been the source of annoyance for many, and the butt of jokes for probably even more. We’ve said it before and we’ll say it again – going to Walt Disney World is EXPENSIVE. But it’s also one of those vacations where you can cut costs in lots of ways in order to make it as affordable as possible. Or you can be super extravagant, with all the bells and whistles and special extras, if that’s what you prefer.
So with all the variables, how much should you expect to pay once you get there?
I’m writing this with the assumption that you already have your hotel picked out (not sure if you should stick with on or off property? Read this), your theme park and plane tickets purchased (or you know you’re going to drive/take a train) and you’ve decided whether or not you’re going to rent a car while visiting Central Florida. But there are other costs to take into consideration that you may want to know “on the fly.”
