The “Rocky Horror Picture Show” Castle Is A (Antici-PATION) Hotel!

It wasn’t Academy Award material, but The Rocky Horror Picture Show, based on the West-End musical The Rocky Horror Show, was released in 1975 and is one of the first cult classic films. Fans still go to midnight screenings, with confetti, toilet paper and water pistols at the ready, nearly 45 years later…

Filmed entirely in England (in just 6 weeks!) in late 1974, the castle exterior, criminologist’s study, Brad’s room, Janet’s room, dining room, Columbia’s room, entrance hall and stairs were all filmed at a castle that, at the time, didn’t have heat or indoor plumbing. Since then, they’ve done a lot of upgrades, and the castle is now functioning as a luxury hotel. Best of all, it’s just about 20 minutes outside of London’s Heathrow Airport!
