The Naughtiest Adult-Only Hotels & Resorts In The World

by SharonKurheg

Most hotels and resorts are intended for any age group. Others are made for family fun. The Nickelodeon Hotel & Resorts (which has a one-of-a-kind Spongebob Squarepants villa that is, yes, shaped like a pineapple) is a good example of the latter.

But some hotels and resorts are purposely made with only adults in mind. Ones where they can explore activities such as nudity, erotic photoshoots, free porn channels, and swinging.

Oyster.com is a hotel review site that “tells all” about a hotel, without Photoshopped pictures that make potential guests think they’re going to get more than they actually will (they even periodically post “Photo Fakeouts,” to show its readers the differences between the hotels’ websites’ photos and their own).

Among their thousands of reviews of “regular” places, the website has also done its share of reviewing adult hotels and reports. Checking out places that tout kinky erotica must be a tough job but I guess someone’s gotta do it, right? Anyway, here are some of the naughtiest hotels they’ve found:

Hedonism II, Jamaica

Resort’s website / Oyster’s review

From their website: “Hedonism II is the world’s most iconic adult playground. An all-inclusive paradise where you can turn your fantasies into reality!”

Located in Negril, Jamaica, this clothing-optional resort includes typical resort activities such as sailing, snorkeling, volleyball on the beach and rowdy groups in the hot tub. They have both “prude” and “nude” activities, for whichever you’re more comfortable with. Theme nights vary from “Toga & Foam,”  “Bare As You Dare,” “Fetish Night” and “Sexy Sports Night,” with parties lasting until 3 am.

Oh, and they have their own loyalty rewards program for repeat guests 😉

Desire Riviera Maya Resort, Mexico

Resort’s website / Oyster’s review

From their website: “The very moment you and your couple arrive, you will be submerged in a dream world of erotic pleasure. From gourmet restaurants serving exotic cuisine and Caribbean cocktails to Bali beach beds on soothing white sand, or our breathtaking clothing-optional beachfront, Desire Riviera Maya Resort offers a sensual, temperature-rising environment, inviting you and other like-minded couples to enjoy the game of seduction.”

Desire Riviera Maya Resort is an all-inclusive resort that includes adult entertainment such as theme nights, “fantasy menus” so you can live your fantasies, a Jacuzzi lounge where you can see and be seen and a playroom where you can mix and mingle with like-minded couples, “in a healthy, sophisticated, erotic playground for adventurers.” Activities include, among others, Kamasutra Lottery, Surfing 69, the Aqua Pole and Naughty Noodles.

Liberty Inn, New York City

Hotel’s website / Oyster’s review

From their website: “For accommodations with romantic flair, come visit the Liberty Inn, providing the optimal setting and ambiance for couples who want to enjoy those private moments together!”

Located in Manhattan’s meatpacking district (that wasn’t lost on me either), the Liberty Inn rents its rooms by the hour. However each room has its own unique look with mood lighting, ceiling and wall mirrors, candles and free porn channels. And their Romantic Interlude rooms even have a Jacuzzi.

The hotel doesn’t take reservations; only walk-ups. And according to their FAQ, only 2 people are allowed in each room.

Note: Citing a change in the neighborhood, the Liberty Inn has been sold and is closing its doors for good on February 26, 2023.

Island House, Key West

Resort’s website / Oyster’s review

From their website: “The best gay resort in the world” (OUT Traveler)

Island House, which has an all-male staff, caters exclusively to gay men. The resort is clothing-optional (except for the gym, where state law requires shoes and shorts) and offers amenities such as Jacuzzis, dry sauna, steam room, poolside cafe and bar, and a 24-hour erotic video lounge.

Island House is well known for its happy hour. From their website: “Everyday between 5PM and 6:30PM, we transform from a relaxing poolside resort to fabulous big gay party!  The beats get faster, the volume goes up, and the free cocktails flow freely.  This daily free happy hour party is completely complimentary for in-house guests, and includes a premium open bar.” (visitors can also enjoy happy hour – they’ll have the ability to pay 2-for-1 for the drinks)

Hotel Amour, Paris

Hotel’s website / Oyster’s review

From their website: “Amour hotels, where art and fashion meet.”

From Oyster.com: ” Hotel Amour is replete with phallic and nude paraphernalia. The hotel’s design was inspired by the Japanese model of love hotels, and the erotic look was accomplished in part due to well-known fashion designer Chantal Thomass, who designed certain rooms. Rooms aim to get guests in the mood for “amour,” with the help of erotic decor.”

The 2020 B-movie “The Swing of Things” features Hedonism II and shows a lot of that resort. The movie is raunchy but not the worst thing I’ve ever sat through.

Around 30 years ago when I was in my early 20’s I was with a travel agent group stopping by Hedonism to do a brief property inspection tour and lunch. During lunch I popped into the gift shop for a moment to buy something. One of the two attractive young Jamaican women working there eyed me boldly and said “See anything you like?” I was more than a bit flustered but replied yes but I was with a group of people and didn’t have time right now. It was a pretty amusing situation in retrospect that’s good for a laugh many years later.
