Starbucks’ Newest Contest Isn’t Great But At Least It’s Short

Ever since the fantastic Starland promotion, the Starbucks contests have been mediocre. The best thing we can hope for is that they’re not frustrating, like the one where you had to get to the end of a road to find out there was nothing there.

In the email about the promotion, Starbucks calls the event Star Days. It runs from 10/17 to 10/23. Once you register at their link, there are two parts of the contest, both of which award prizes, unlike other promos where you can play a game that gives you nothing.

The primary contest is the “Million Stars Giveaway.”

Instead of being like other Starbucks contests, this one doesn’t have instant winners or have you collect tokens. You get 1 entry per purchase on each day of the contest. You can also get entries by filling out a web form. You can get 2 entries every day through any combination of the two, purchase or online.

At the end of the contest, 1000 winners will be picked from each day and will get 1,000 stars. That’s it.

In addition, there’s a side contest called Star Days Arcade.

You can instantly win prizes from 5-150 stars or a free coffee or bakery item.

This one’s random and the game doesn’t mean anything. If you want to play, each one is only 30 seconds. However, you can click the link to skip the game, enter your email and enter. There’s no limit to how many times you can enter, but you are limited to 2 prizes per day.

As far as Starbucks contests go, I’m OK with these. It only takes a minute to enter the main one for 1,000 stars. I’m not going to sit there and try to win 5 stars with the Arcade so if you want to, have fun.

At least this one’s not annoying and only lasts for 1 week.
