Last Chance: Free DashPass (Worth $120) + 50% Off Your Next Order

by joeheg

In January 2020, Chase added a $60 DoorDash credit for Sapphire Reserve members good for 2020 and 2021. I used the credit during the lockdown in 2020 and in January 2021, I started to use it to order food from Chipotle.

It didn’t take long to burn through the $60 credit. However, there was an additional part of the DoorDash partnership that I didn’t sign up for. Chase Sapphire Reserve members can sign up for a year of DashPass membership for free. This service usually costs $9.99 per month and provides the following benefits.

The most appealing benefit is paying no delivery fees on orders over the minimum subtotal. If you make over 2 orders per month, this benefit pays for itself. Getting the benefit for free is even better.

Previously, this benefit was set to expire at the end of 2021 but has been extended until March 2022. That doesn’t mean Chase and DoorDash don’t want you to sign up now, so they’ve added a bonus if you add the benefit to your card before the end of 2021.

If you activate the offer before 12/31/21, you’ll receive 50% off your next DoorDash order (up to $15 off) for an order made through 1/31/2022.

It’s easy to sign up for the DashPass offer. The first step is to add your Sapphire Reserve to your DoorDash account. Once I did and made it my payment option, I received this option.

I just had to activate the offer to save delivery charges on orders over $12. That does mean in 1 year from now I”m going to have to cancel my DashPass subscription or start paying $9.99 per month.
