Hertz President’s Circle Status Not Showing Up? Here’s What To Do

by joeheg

Shortly after being approved for the Capital One Venture X card, I filled out the online form to upgrade my Hertz status to President’s Circle.

According to the online application, I would see my updated status within 24-72 hours.

That was on December 8th and yet my account still showed I only had Gold status. That’s the level you get just for signing up for the program.

President’s Circle members get more benefits.

I’m not worried about earning 1.5 points per dollar but having access to guaranteed upgrades and the Widest selection on the Ultimate Choice aisle sounds appealing. In reality, all I’m hoping is that having top-tier status ensures we’ll have a car for our two upcoming rentals.

I went to Twitter to see if the Hertz social media team could help. Instead of airing my dirty laundry in public, I sent them a Direct Message.

Within a few minutes, I received a reply, which was impressive since it was rather late for the customer service desk to be working.

I provided my info and quickly received a reply.

In less than 20 minutes and two Twitter DM’s, I was able to get my Hertz President’s Circle status from the Capital One Venture X card. I’d prefer if the webform worked properly, but I have to give credit to the Hertz Twitter team for fixing the problem so quickly. Upon refreshing AwardWallet, my newly earned President’s Circle status showed up on my account.
