Have A Window Seat? Don’t Rest Your Head On The Window!

by SharonKurheg

As much as some people love having an aisle seat, others adore having a window seat. They get to look out the window and even have something solid to lean against, should they want to take a nap.

However a flight attendant named Linda Ferguson recently warned that you shouldn’t lean your head on the window.

How come? Cleanliness.

Although airlines say they’ve ramped up their game when it comes to wiping surfaces down, you know they’re only focusing on the “high touch with your hands” areas, such as tray tables, armrests, seat belts, etc.

But the window? Probably not so much.

Yet, that’s where people have coughed, sneezed, breathed heavily and yes, touched with their hands, hair and face – and then you’re going to lean YOUR face on it? Ewww.

“If there was a black light and they could light up a plane with all the germs, I think it would petrify everybody,” Ferguson said during an interview with Reader’s Digest.

Ferguson suggests bringing your own Lysol (or similar) wipes and wipe down EVERYTHING your skin could come in contact with. That includes the window and the wall of the plane, if you have the window seat.

or use your pillow, folded up blanket, hoodie, etc., as a pillow — provides a softer surface to relax upon and doesn’t have cooties..
