TripIt Pro Extends Memberships Additional Six Months

by joeheg

Before the pandemic, TripIt was one of my go-to travel apps. I used it to organize all of our travel plans. I kept everything from flights, airport transportation, show tickets, dinner reservations and other plans all in one place. In addition, I paid $49 a year for a TripIt Pro subscription, which also provided updates on flight delays faster than the airlines.

I’m willing to say that if there is any service that knows how the travel industry is doing at any time, it’s TripIt. That’s why in September 2020, they extended the memberships of TripIt Pro users for an additional 6 months. Now we’re to January 2021 and COVID cases are spiking around the world and the vaccine is finally here, albeit with problems with getting it to everyone.

So it wasn’t a shock to receive this email today from TripIt.

As we begin a new year, we want to continue our comittment to helping you navigate the ever-evolving impacts that COVID-19 is having on travel. We have extended your TripIt Pro subscription for an additional 6 months at no cost to you.

For me, this means my subscription is good for well into 2022. Hopefully, by then we will have gone on a few plane trips in the US along with our trip to Japan at the end of 2021. I’ll have to make sure that my iPhone hasn’t erased the app due to lack of use.
