Chase has been offering an amazing 80,000 Ultimate Rewards points sign-up bonus for the Sapphire Preferred card for the last few weeks. While the Sapphire Reserve has several perks that make it a better choice for people who often travel, a majority of people would be better served with the less expensive Sapphire Preferred.
I wrote about how this was a great sign up bonus and urged readers not to use our referral link to get the card. I’d rather our readers get the best bonus available than for us to get a referral bonus from Chase.
I just confirmed that our referral link is now showing the 80,000 point offer.
So if you were still waiting to get the card, we’d appreciate it if you’d now use our link; if you do, we’ll get some points, too. The offer is supposed to last until November 7, 2020. Sometimes they’re extended, sometimes they’re not.
If you already have the Sapphire Preferred and want to tell your friends about it, be sure to send them here if you’d like to throw some Ultimate Rewards points our way.
However, it’s only fair to let you know that you can also generate your own referral link at the Chase Refer-A-Friend website.
Not all cards have referral offers, but it pays to check if you’re going to tell a friend about a sign-up offer. Just make sure that your referral offer isn’t for fewer points than the pubically available offer. I guess that depends on how good a friend is the person you’re sending the referral to.
