The Worst Hotels In The World, According to TripAdvisor

by SharonKurheg

TripAdvisor is the world’s largest travel site and millions of people rely on it as a resource for reviews on travel destinations, hotels, restaurants, etc. Of course, you sometimes have to take the reviews people have written with a grain of salt. But when SO MANY people say a place is horrible, you can’t help but think maybe you should stay far, far away from it. But these are what may be the worst of the worst, complete with photos and reviews that never get better, even after YEARS…

I once stayed in a hotel in Mpumalanga Province in South Africa where the rooms looked like they were furnished in early junkshop, there were used condoms in the bin, some skidmarked underpants in the drawer, cockroaches had nightly meetings under my bed and the mosquitoes doubled as vampires. Oy.
