There Are Online Classes To Learn About Traveling On A Budget & You Can Pay What You Want For Them

by SharonKurheg

Lots of people always want to know how to learn the “secrets” of cheap travel. In fact, that’s how Joe and I started Your Mileage May Vary – our friends saw how we saved money and traveled well by using points and miles, and lots of them said Joe should run classes to teach what he knows. Well, he really didn’t have time for that, so I suggested he start a blog. And here we are. 😉

Joe does have his Basics Of How To Get Started Earning Points & Miles Balances post and that gives a nice, overall idea of how to get started. But there’s still so much more you can learn. A lot of our posts have a lot of that info, and lots of other bloggers on Boarding Area have some great “teaching” posts, too.  But I found a place online that has 9 different online courses to help you learn about all different aspects of travel and right now, you can pay whatever you want to get access to them.

Mashable currently has their Ultimate 2019 Travel Hacker Bundle available and right now you can name your price for this comprehensive set of online courses that teach you loopholes, hidden gems, and tricks for traveling on a budget.

Here are some of the courses, as described from their page:

Travel Hacking Mastery: Fly Around the World for Cheap

You don’t need a bottomless bank account to travel to your dream destinations. This course, taught by two experienced travel gurus, is focused on teaching you how to fund your trips using hacks like signing up and getting approved for the best travel rewards credit cards, dodging annual fees, and booking free flights using points.

The Abroaders Guide to Points and Miles

Speaking of travel credit cards, this course fills you in on the best strategy when it comes to rewards and loyalty programs. You’ll learn how to maintain a healthy credit score, earn points from everyday spending, find and book flights with points, and a whole lot more.

Become a Digital Nomad: The Ultimate Travel Hack

Want to go all in? This course will teach you how to transition from the four walls of the office to a full-fledged digital nomad. Expect to learn tips on how to set up a remote job or business, earn passive income, maximize travel opportunities, and execute business strategies to become location independent.

Mastering Airbnb

Another way of making money while traveling halfway across the world is through Airbnb. In this course, you’ll get to grips with operating a successful Airbnb business, so you can literally get paid while being on vacation. You’ll learn things like landing on the first page of search, perfecting your listing, limiting your rental work to only a handful of hours a week, and becoming a SuperHost.

The Art of Travel Photography

Learn how to immortalize your travels through stunning photography with this course. From prepping and packing camera equipment to choosing the right camera settings to post-processing hacks, this collection of lessons leaves no stone unturned when it comes to teaching you how to take frame-worthy travel photos.

Other courses in this bundle include lessons in Chinese and Spanish and a crash course in establishing an income source while traveling.

All 9 courses would cost about $1,425.00 if you bought them all, but for now, you can pay what you want. Here’s how it works:

  • If your price is higher than the average price, you take home the entire bundle
  • If your price is lower than the average, “You’ll still take home something great”
  • If you beat the Leader’s price, you can get entered into their “epic giveaway

Once purchased, you’ll have lifetime access to the courses, but the access to the “pay what you want” pricing is only for a limited time. Heads up that they don’t tell you how long that limited time is actually for. I mean, when I looked at the page yesterday, it said it was ending in 2 days. When I look at it today, it also says it’s ending in 2 days LOL. Oh, and that $14.95 average price? That’s staying pretty constant when you refresh, too 😉

They had this type of offer in 2017 (that sale did eventually end LOL) but I don’t see a link for a 2018 version.

I don’t see any reviews for the courses, so I can’t tell you how helpful the courses are. But if they’re something you’d like to consider, click here to get more detailed descriptions of the courses, and to get started. Let me know how it goes!
