New Problems With Hyatt & Their Reps, Making An Impossible Reward Trip Work, Travel Identity Theft & More!

by joeheg

Happy Wednesday to all of our travel friends, both near and far! Here are some articles we’ve read from other bloggers (and other sources) that we think you may like, as well, so we’re passing them along.

  • On One Mile at a Time, Tiffany writes a thoughtful post about how to be socially responsible when vacationing after her recent visit to Laos. I had similar questions for my dad and his wife after their visit to Luang Prabang and it looks like things have gotten even worse since then. Let’s just say if you’re going to visit a local religious ritual and your tour guide sets up lighting to improve your selfies, you’re doing it wrong.
  • Finally, I wanted to share an article by identity theft experts My ID Care about online quizzes. It’s not directly travel related but if you have online accounts with banks, hotels and airlines, you have plenty of passwords. I understand that by writing a blog, I’m putting myself out there on the internet. However, I try to set strong passwords for my accounts and change them regularly (which drives Sharon crazy). One way to let thieves into your accounts is to give them the answers to your security questions, like the questions to all those online Facebook quizzes. Just in case you’re wondering, I’m a Ravenclaw, Sharon’s a Hufflepuff and we didn’t need to answer any online quiz questions to find that out.

Like this post? Please share it! We have plenty more just like it and would love if you decided to hang around and clicked the button on the top (if you’re on your computer) or the bottom (if you’re on your phone/tablet) of this page to follow our blog and get emailed notifications of when we post (it’s usually just two or three times a day). Or maybe you’d like to join our Facebook group, where we talk and ask questions about travel (including Disney parks), creative ways to earn frequent flyer miles and hotel points, how to save money on or for your trips, get access to travel articles you may not see otherwise, etc. Whether you’ve read our posts before or this is the first time you’re stopping by, we’re really glad you’re here and hope you come back to visit again!
