Taco Bell Is Opening An Adults-Only Hotel & Resort

by SharonKurheg

If there are two things I didn’t think I’d ever put in the same sentence, they would be “Taco Bell” & “Opening A Hotel & Resort.” But apparently The Bell: A Taco Bell Hotel & Resort is scheduled to open in Palm Springs this summer. So that’ll show me, huh?

Of course, this isn’t the first time an entity that’s branded in one category is opening something in another category. Taco Bell themselves created a Slide-Thru at a ski resort in Canada earlier this year. Hooters had an airline for a while, and a small chain of motels, too…and the Hooters Hotel & Casino is still jiggling away in Las Vegas. Both Kenny Rogers and Roy Rogers have their names on chains of chicken restaurants and Dolly Parton has lent her name to Dollywood and Dolly Parton’s Dixie Stampede. So Taco Bell opening The Bell: A Taco Bell Hotel and Resort isn’t really all that super farfetched.

From Taco Bell’s website:

Get ready for “Bell”hops and Baja Blasts, Fire Sauce and Sauce Packet floaties, because The Bell: A Taco Bell Hotel and Resort is opening for a limited time in Palm Springs this August, meant for 18+ superfans. Complete with exclusive Taco Bell menu items and plenty of surprises, The Bell is sure to be the spicy twist of your summer. So pack your swimsuit, mark your calendars and start the countdown, because The Bell is about to make all of your taco dreams come true.

According to Taco Bell’s press release, the hotel is set to open on August 9, 2019 for a limited time It’ll apparently have all the Taco Bell swag you can imagine – pool floats, fluffy bathrobes, towels, you name it. An on-site gift shop will offer hotel & resort exclusive apparel to spice up fans’ summer style. Guests can also stop by the on-site salon for Taco Bell-inspired nail art, fades and a braid bar.

Best of all, all of its food service amenities such as restaurant, room service, poolside drinks, etc., will have Taco Bell menu items integrated into it.

“The Bell stands to be the biggest expression of the Taco Bell lifestyle to date. It will be fun, colorful, flavorful and filled with more than what our fans might expect,” said Taco Bell’s Chief Global Brand Officer Marisa Thalberg. “Also, just like some of our most sought-after food innovation, this hotel brings something entirely new for lucky fans to experience and enjoy.”

LOLOL! Which part? That there’s going to be a Taco Bell hotel? Or that it’s gonna be in Palm Springs in August? 😉

Roy Rogers was a chain of hamburger restaurants, not chicken.

Now that you mention it, I do recall they sold hamburgers too. And roast beef sandwiches, as well. My family and I were partial to their fried chicken, though. Still would be, if I still lived in the northeast.
