There’s a brand new restaurant in the Big Apple, and if you’re a fan of Broadway musicals, I have a feeling you’re going to love this place!
Imagine a restaurant in the heart of the Broadway Theater District, just off the corner of 44th and 8th, next door to the St. James Theater, and right across the street from the Majestic Theater. Now imagine that they’ve got fantabulous milkshakes and a delicious menu selection. And NOW imagine that all the servers are amazingly talented aspiring Broadway performers. Except you don’t have to imagine it – it’s here and now and brand new! And it’s called Gayle’s Broadway Rose.
Gayle’s Broadway Rose opened earlier this month. Billed as a “theater with food,” the folks bringing the entertainment concept of Gayle’s Broadway Rose have partnered with the Roxy Deli and created a new venue for Broadway hits combined with an array of milkshakes and the classic menu that the Roxy is known for.
But it’s not just the food – you’re going to want to see the entertainment! Your waiters and waitresses are some of the most talented up-and-coming performers in New York City, and you never know when they might break out in song – like when Tori and Quintin belted out this duet from Little Shop of Horrors…
Gayle’s Broadway Rose is located at 694 8th Ave (at 44th St.) in Manhattan, and is open Wednesday through Sunday; they serve lunch from 11am to 2pm and dinner from 5pm to 8pm. Seating is first come, first served, although they take reservations for parties of 10 or more.
If you decide to visit, I bet you’ll have a great time!
