There have been ongoing promotions for bonus Hilton Honors points for stays at their hotels for at least the last two years or so. The current promotion, which was offering double points on all stays and triple points on resort stays, is still running through January 3, 2019. It was about time that Hilton announced their new promotion if they were planning on having one.
Wouldn’t you know, I just received this in my email:
Registered Hilton Honors members will earn 2,000 Points per stay during the Promotion Period. Registered members will also receive an additional 10,000 Bonus Points for every 5 stays completed or for every 10 nights completed. The 10,000 Bonus Point award can be earned an unlimited number of times during the Promotion Period with this offer.
Since you already earn 10X Honors per point per dollar spent at Hilton hotels, this is a good offer for those who stay at inexpensive Hilton hotels for shorter stays. It’s interesting to see the bonus for staying additional nights, which you can earn multiple times, as the one complaint I heard about the previous promotion was that it didn’t incentivize frequent travelers to stay more often.
This promotion starts on January 4, 2019, and runs through May 5, 2019.
I’ll always take bonus points when I can. I find that after a while I can save enough points for a free night, like when I was able to stay at a Hampton Inn in Tampa for 40,000 points instead of having to pay $250 for a room after going to see a concert.
You can sign up for the offer by clicking here and registering. I always recommend signing up for these types of promotions when you see them. You don’t get any do-overs with this one, as you need to be registered before your stay in order to get the points.
