“Tale As Old As Time Tea” For The Beauty (Or The Beast) In All Of Us

by SharonKurheg

Beauty And The Beast, the 1991 Disney animated feature, won multiple Oscars and Grammys, and the original Broadway production of the show won a Tony, while the 1997 West End version won an Olivier Award. Whether or not Disney’s 2017’s live feature version of the story that starred Emma Watson will have any Oscar feathers to add to its B&TB cap has yet to be seen, but right now you can have your own Beauty and The Beast celebration at The Town House at Kensington Hotel, in London, in the form of their “Tale As Old As Time Tea.” As far as I can tell, it sounds like a definite winner for any Disney fan!

As per Town House at The Kensington’s website, “This delightful Afternoon Tea, named
Tale as Old as Time, complete with charming Mrs. Potts and Chip Potts dishware, ensures the perfect family outing or fun afternoon with friends and loved ones. The various sweets and savouries featured in this whimsical afternoon tea are inspired by the characters and scenes of the film.”

Here’s the current menu (updated October, 2018), which is absolutely adorable. THEY EVEN HAVE THE GREY STUFF! (try it – I hear it’s delicious):

And since the Afternoon Tea has been so popular that they extended it into 2019 and beyond, here’s the upcoming 2018 “Festive” (for those of you who are, like me, American, that’s British for “Christmastime”) menu:

Located at 109-113 Queen’s Gate in London, Town House at The Kensington’s website suggests they are taking online reservations through October 2019.

A top of the hat and a THANK-YOU to Lozee Bee for her heads up about this topic!
