Zombie Pop-Up Bar Opens For Halloween Season

“They’re coming to get you, Barbara!”

In October 1968, Night of The Living Dead was released in theaters and the macabre tale of people hiding from bloodthirsty zombies in a farmhouse has since become a cult classic.

Just in time for the 50th anniversary of the film, a pop-up bar, called Zombie Den: Bar of the Dead has just opened and its location was picked for one very special reason…

Zombie1

The bar is being housed in The Original Oyster House, in Pittsburgh. Why? Because scenes from the movie were filmed inside the Original Oyster House. I think that’s just the coolest place ever to have this particular bar, don’t you?

They have a full bar, with food and drink that would be good for anyone who needs their strength to fight the living dead:

ZomDrink

Zombie Den, which will be open on Wednesday through Sundays from 4pm to midnight, is being put on by the creators of ScareHouse, which is Pittsburgh’s famous annual haunted house.

If you’re in the Pittsburgh area, heads up that the bar will only be there for a limited period of time – its last day of operation is November 4th.
