Friday the 13th Fan? How About A Tour of Camp Crystal Lake & Maybe Even Sleep Over?

by SharonKurheg

If you’re a fan of the Friday the 13th brand of movies, you may LOVE this! Camp No-Be-Bo-Sco is a real-live Boy Scout camp in the town of Hardwick, which is in Northern NJ, that’s been around since 1927. It’s also the location of what they called Camp Crystal Lake in the movies.

The camp, which is not open to the public, has done tours a small handful times in the past. However this year they are doing something VERY special.

Fri132Your ability to request to purchase tickets for the “regular” tour, scheduled for this April 13 and 14 (April 13th is a Friday, by the way. Get it? All past tours have been done on a Friday the 13th) is open right now – names for tours will be chosen via a lottery system starting on March 5th. From CrystalLakeTours.com‘s website:

“Our guided tours will take you to all of the major filming locations in the camp that have been made famous on television and film. Each small group of fans will be led by a member of our tour staff that knows the camp very well. Most tours are approximately 3 hours long and some include a meal in our historic dining hall.”

To sweeten the deal, actress Adrienne King (she played Alice Hardy in Friday the 13th and Friday the 13th Part 2), will be a special guest during the April tours!

But wait, it gets better! The camp is going to hold an auction to allow a certain number of guests to stay at the camp overnight! They’re calling it their VIP Tour.

The VIP Tour is being held as a fundraiser for the camp, as a means to preserve the log cabins and other historic structures at the camp. Here’s the info:

“In addition to the regular tours, there will be two VIP experiences available via a ticket auction. A limited number of VIP guests will take the regular tour and then continue on an overnight experience at the camp with some exclusive morning activities with our special guest. This will truly be a once-in-a-lifetime experience for hardcore F13 fans. To learn more, please browse to our VIP page and place your bid for a VIP ticket by 11:59PM EST on February, 27th, 2018. Ticket invitations will be sent to winning bidders after the bidding closes. You’ll have 24 hours to complete your ticket purchase before the invitation expires and is offered to the next winning bidder.”

Now, if you’re interested in the VIP tour, you need to get your bid in by 11:59pm ET TONIGHT! There is more information about the auction for the VIP Tour on this page, and info about their regular tours on this page. And finally, you can click here for more information about Crystal Lake Tours.
