I love it when things I wanted to buy but just haven’t yet go on sale. I know I’m a sucker consumer for falling for these offers but if I was going to buy it anyway, doesn’t it make sense to buy when it’s less expensive?

Here’s the two emails I received today. You need to act fast, as one of the sales ends today.

TripIt

TripIt is one of my go to travel apps. I currently use the free version to keep all of my travel plans together (and suggest you do so as well). They also offer a Pro version of the product that usually costs $49 a year. I’ve gotten a free trial of TripIt Pro before and found it helpful. Flight information and delays, gate changes and better seat notifications are sent directly to your phone. It’s wonderful to get off the plane and have your phone tell you which gate your connecting flight is, instead of having to search for one of those arriving/departing monitors in the airport.

Until June 28, 2018, at 11:59PM PT, you can upgrade to TripIt Pro for only $29 by using the code SUMMERFUN18. As the promotion says, that’s only $3 a month. If you’re able to prevent one missed connecting flight or find an aisle seat instead of a middle, that’s worth it for the year. Here are the rest of the details on the promotion:

Promotion applies only to purchases made on the TripIt website. Offer is not valid for current TripIt Pro users. After one year, the subscription price will be the regular $49 rate. Promotion price is listed in US$.

CLEAR

I also received this message from CLEAR, the service that lets you pass the TSA’s check your ID line. I’ve considered getting CLEAR before but never went through with it because we just didn’t travel enough for it to make sense for us. The TSA PreCheck line in Orlando isn’t that long and some of the airports we were flying to didn’t have CLEAR.

However, I have a trip to three CLEAR airports coming up so I’m really thinking on giving the two months free thing a shot. Signing up the the code JULY4TH18 will get you the special trial. Remember that if you are a Delta SkyMiles American Express cardholder or Delta Medallion member, you can apply your discounted price to your account during the free trial if you want to continue the service. Here’s the rest of the details on the CLEAR offer:

Offer must be redeemed by 07/08/18. Valid for new members only and renews at $179 for 12 months after initial trial term. You can cancel anytime during trial.

Hopefully you’ll be able to take advantage of one, or both, of these offers.
