Easy Way To Earn 1000 Bonus Ultimate Rewards Points (If You’re Lucky)

by joeheg

If you are lucky enough to be targeted for this offer and can take advantage of it, you’ll earn an easy 1,000 Ultimate Rewards points.

Last week, many Chase cardholders were reporting that they received an email offering 1,000 bonus points after making five payments with Apple Pay. So if you received one of these emails AND have an iPhone (or Apple Watch), it would only take five payments (of any value) in April to earn the points. You don’t even have to sign up for the offer; it’s automatically active for those who were targeted.

SO CHECK YOUR EMAIL!!!!!!!

From all reports I’ve found, this offer is being sent to people who have the Chase Sapphire Reserve, Chase Sapphire Preferred or the Chase Freedom Unlimited cards. Purchases need to be made with Apple Pay, meaning you must have an iPhone. Sorry to you Samsung users out there, but your mobile payments won’t work for this offer.

The five purchases have to be made in April and can be from the primary cardholder or an authorized user on the account. There’s no minimum needed to spend to qualify for the bonus.

Just don’t use your Freedom card for this promotion if it’s not included, OK?

There are loads of places you can use Apple Pay and a partial list can be found on Apple’s website. Most places that take wireless payments can take Apple Pay, even if they aren’t aware of it. I’d guess even paying for five rides on the Chicago Transit Authority could qualify.

Unfortunately for Sharon and I, neither of our eligible Chase cards were targeted for this offer. Oh well, there’s always next time.

Thanks to Mommy Points, Doctor of Credit and Frequent Miler for sharing the details on this offer.
