Silvercar Car Rental Expanding to Orlando & Seattle

by SharonKurheg

Good news for travelers who want to rent a car in Orlando or Seattle! Silvercar is going to start renting cars at Seattle-Tacoma International Airport on July 31, 2017 and at Orlando International Airport as of August 28, 2017! Silvercar can already be found at airports in Austin, Chicago, Dallas, Denver, Ft. Lauderdale, Las Vegas, Los Angeles, Miami, Newark, New York, Phoenix and San Francisco and their upcoming expansion will help travelers who are looking for car rental “the way it should be,” with no hassles, no lines, no paperwork, no transponder fees and premium features at no extra cost.
From Silvercar‘s website: “Silvercar is changing the way the world hits the road and paving the way for the future of mobility. The company’s seamless car rental business—offering only fully loaded silver Audis—eliminates lines, counters, paperwork, hassles and uncertainty by delivering the entire experience through an easy-to-use mobile app and friendly concierge service. With its unique combination of technology, operations and assets, Silvercar now also connects customers to the same level of access to mobility in an increasing number of non-airport settings. Silvercar continually earns the highest customer satisfaction and loyalty scores in the industry and is currently offering service in seventeen of the busiest car rental markets in the U.S.”

We’ve rented Silvercar automobiles in Austin, Los Angeles, Dallas and New York and thought they were awesome. The process to reserve and get your car was SO simple:

  • Download the app
  • Reserve your car
  • Use the app to unlock your Silvercar

We loved all of the extras they included in the price of the rental, too, with no upcharge for things like GPS, bluetooth, SiriusXM radio, toll transponder or onboard wifi. They provide free car seats if you let them know what they need and they don’t charge extra if you’re under 25. Silvercar has a fair fuel plan, where you have a choice of filling the car up on your own, or if you want to skip the hassle of refueling, they’ll fill up your tank for the market price plus a $5 refueling fee (that way you also don’t have to pay the inflated prices at the gas stations right by the airport – there are a few in Orlando that charge over $3/gallon more than whatever the going rate is everywhere else!). On top of that, their entire fleet is late-model Audi A4s (that’s their “shtick”), which made it kind of a nice change over the typical Toyotas, Hyundais and Chevrolets you get with Alamo, Hertz, etc.

As per their app (available on iOS and Android), Silvercar will be $49 per day in Orlando (we rented cars here in Orlando plenty of times before we moved to here – this really is a decent deal, considering everything you get) and $59 per day in Seattle. If you decide to rent from Silvercar (and you really should consider it – we love them!) and are new to them, once you make an account, use can use our promo code, JHEGEDUS, and you’ll get $25 off your first rental (we’ll get $25 off our next rental, as well).

Silvercar touts themselves at “car rental the way it should be.” It’s a smart advertising slogan, but having dealt with Dollar, Enterprise, National, etc. as well as Silvercar, well, the proof is in the pudding and there really is no comparison. Their expansion into Orlando and Seattle is a REALLY good thing!

Like this post? We have plenty more just like it and would love if you decided to hang around and clicked the button on the top of this page to follow our blog and get emailed notifications of when we post (it’s usually just once or twice a day). Whether you’ve read our posts before or this is the first time you’re stopping by, we’re really glad you’re here and hope you come back to visit again!
